About

Born and raised in Wales, Ben is a storyteller with over six years experience in scripted and factual production. After graduating from Sgil Cymru's Creative and Digital apprenticeship in Cardiff, he started out in production management; he spent the next year gaining on-set experience on BBC One's medical drama, Casualty.  This experience solidified his passion for dramatic storytelling, complex characters, and captivating material.

In 2018, after being told many times to "Travel. It helps you understand what being a writer is all about", Ben moved to Toronto to continue his journey as a filmmaker. He has since worked on features and documentaries across North America. In his spare time, Ben has committed himself to his screenwriting, attending regular masterclasses and other professional writing programs. Drawing from his immigrating experience and personal life, he writes dramas and comedies that explore themes of resilience, optimism, human connection, and heart. He is currently seeking representation.
